Here you’ll find an ongoing list of new features, fixes, and changes added to each release of Pano2VR 6.
- New placeholders for altidude

- New keyboard shortcut: hold Shift while in the Viewer to lock dragging horizontally or vertically
- Low-resolution floor plans used within the Map Element in Simple Floor Plan mode will no longer show as a broken image
- A floor plan added to the Tour Map before adding nodes will no longer disappear
- Distance placeholders are now working in logic blocks
- Fixed an issue with Scroll Areas not properly resizing
- Fixed an issue with non-eolocated panoramas with locked hotspots ended up stacked on top of each other on output
- You can now filter in for nodes that are less than 10 meters in the Tour Browser
- Starting audio with first touch with the Samsung browser on Android works again
- Fixed an issue on iOS and Android where a CSS button would work as expected if it was added to a text field that was a child of a hotspot template
- Fixed an issue where transition sounds over took directional sounds
- Adding a floor plan before nodes are added will no longer crash Pano2VR
- Pinned images in an embedded GGPKG will not popup as expected when while in fullscreen in Chrome and Firefox
- Fixed an issue with the accordion menu component
- Scroll area has inertia again
- Fixed vairous issues with actions and logic blocks, Change Element Alpha and Change Element Size, and Alpha
- Adding a second YouTube video will no longer use the first YouTube video’s link
- The directional sound field is visible again
- Folders are again being saved as assets in packages (GGPKG)
- In the Timer element, the Timer Reloaded type renamed to Images Ready
- A button in the skin with the action, Stop, can have a defined number of loops, while if the action is Loop, playback will be looped indefinitly
- 3D hotspots were disappearing during rotation, this has been fixed
- For some, hotspot templates were not keeping previously scaled images scaled, fixed
- A map from a custom map provider used in the skin (using the Leaflet API), the maximum zoom specified in the map properties was ignored, fixed
- Fixed an issue with default Polygon Hotspot tooltips not picking up css style from skin
- Logic block trigger, Visited was not working in hotspots with no node target, fixed
- Fix for the new Oculus Browser. Please replace the webvr/three.min.js with the new version on old tours
- The spinning globe hotspots in the WebVR output are no longer missing in WordPress
- Pinned videos are working on iOS again if they are set to auto-start
- Fixed an issue that occurred in Windows Edge where the audio of a popup video file would begin to playback after going to the next node
- Fixed an issue where flat images were getting cropped on small screens
- Fixed sound iPadOS and iOS where sounds would not start on first touch
- Components now use the Logic Block Trigger Has Touch instead of Is Mobile to accommodate iPadOS which no longer reports itself as a mobile device
- Videos in WebVR are now playing when they should
- Dragging a folder on a droplet now works on macOS Catalina
- You can now enter a negative number for any of the Element Angle skin actions
- WebVR is now working with Android 10
- Radar beam line in Tour Map now goes through the entire beam rather than just through the front for easier alignment
- A Point Hotspot can now be locked regardless if it has location data or not
- Toggle the locked state of any element in the Viewer by holding Shift and clicking the element
WebVR is an API that allows us to view your panoramas and tours in VR web browsers (like Oculus Browser and Firefox Reality) and mobile browsers. Your projects are more accessible to others since your tours can be played back in all headsets; from Google Cardboard to Oculus Rift.
The support is added to the HTML5 output by default and can be activated with a button in the skin. The Silhouette and Simplex skins already have an Enter VR button. You can also add the Enter VR skin component to your skin.
You will also find new Logic Block Triggers and Skin Actions for VR mode.
Resolution for both multiresolution and single resolution outputs has been improved.

We’ve added a new Skin Action called, Go Back One Node in the Open Next Panorama section. This lets users go back through the tour the way they went through it.

- Added: Play/Pause/Stop/Seek skin actions can now control YouTube and Vimeo videos so you can have custom controller buttons
- Added: In a map element, floor plans can now be laid over a map on output so the floor plan is visible in the map
- Added: The action, Media Ended now works with YouTube and Vimeo videos so you can now, for example, hide the videos once they have ended
- Added: You can now reset the visited state of a tour node using the action, Go to URL and using
- Colors can now be exposed in the skin so that a skin’s elements can have their colors changed without opening the Skin Editor
- Raw CSS: You can mix units for position and size of skin elements
- New skin actions: Set Element Size and Change Element Size
- New logic block trigger: Cloner Index
- New skin actions for adding and removing skin elements
- Cloners can now change the size automatically
Patches can now be converted to a custom image point hotspot which greatly improves the workflow for 3D distorted hotspots which give roll-over effects.
Fixed: Blurred square and circle patches are blurring again
Added: Snapping of nadir patches can now be temporarily turned off by holding down the ALT or Option key. This makes it easier to add a nadir patch over a tripod that is not exactly at -90º.
- Added: Zoom to image center added to hotspot transitions options
- Add custom images to point hotspots without the need to add a skin. The images can be pinned to the panorama using the 3D distortion or not.
Kolor’s Panotour Pro projects can now be imported directly into Pano2VR. All elements will be converted, except the skin.
Stereo Panoramas are now natively supported.
Sorting in the Tour Browser is now easier. Select the nodes (for all nodes, use CMD-A or CTRL-A) and right click them to open the context menu. Choose Sort by and choose how you’ll sort the nodes.
If you’ve built a menu using the Cloner element, the cloner will follow the sorting of the Tour Browser.
Google Street View
Linking to other panoramas or tours in Street View is now possible by adding the Photo ID of an external file (panorama).
To add Place IDs, you will now have to add your Google Maps API key.
If you right-click on any image in the Google Street View browser, you will now see items that allow you to connect nodes between Street View and the Tour Browser: Connect to Current Panorama.
If you have multiple clips in an animation, you can now export each of them as individual videos.
- Added: Support packages can now include project elements like patch image files, pinned elements, and floor plans
- Integrated web server now includes a secure option (HTTPS)
- Calculate and show the distance between nodes using placeholders
- Tags can now have symbols as a way to visually see the tags in the Tour Browser
- Exclude nodes from autorotation
- Added the snow component found in the components toolbox
- Added a seek bar component for video panoramas
- Added a map pin component for use with the map element
- Fixed: Pinned video now plays back in Chrome
This was a bugfix release that fixed the following:
- Fixed an issue where iOS users’ panoramas wouldn’t spin properly if interacted with during a transition
- Fixed an issue where map pins couldn’t be selected when using a simple floor plan
- Fixed an issue for some Windows users who would get a black frame in the Viewer when playing back video panoramas. Please download and intall the latest K-Lite Codec Pack.
Floor plans can now be added to the Tour Map which can then be geolocated so nodes without GPS that are pinned to the floor plan will get location information.
The floor plans added here, can also be added to the Map element in the Skin Editor.
Custom Map Tiles
Custom Maps can also be added to the Tour Map. So, if you want to use tiles from another provider, you can apply this here. The custom map can also be applied to the skin.
The maps element now supports custom maps and floor plans that have been added in the Tour Map.
The Animation Editor is now a panel and uses the main Viewer for viewing the animation.
There is also a new track that can be added for controlling skin elements.
Sequences can now be created and outputted.
There is now a way to change skins without having to open the Skin Editor. Use variables that will show in the Edit Skin Configuration in the HTML5 Output.
Positioning in the Skin Editor has been updated to better reflect how positioning works in HTML5.
