Floor Plan Properties
The properties for a floor plan added to the Tour Map.
When a floor plan has been added to the Tour Map, the following properties are available.
Map ID – The map’s ID or name. The ID can contain only letters, numbers, and underscores and must be unique within the project. This also appears in the Map properties of the Map element in the Skin Editor.
Title – The floor plan’s title. This title appears in the maps list in the Tour Map.
File – The floor plan image. To see its location or change the file, click the folder button, choose the new file, and click Open. Right-click the file name to open the shortcut menu:
-
Edit – Edit the file name.
-
Show in Explorer/Finder – Open the file in Explorer or Finder.
Tags – Add tags to the floor plan. Type the tag and press Tab, Return, or
the Space bar to apply it. On output, the tags are assigned to every node
located on the floor plan. They are listed in the tags section of the
User Data panel, can be filtered in the
Tour Browser, and can be used in the Skin Editor. For example, if you have a
multi-level project, you can have a thumbnail controller that shows only the
nodes on the current floor by applying the tag Floor1 to a
cloner element.
Georeference
These settings place the floor plan on the world map, so that Pano2VR can work out GPS positions for the nodes on it.
Georeference – Click the copy button to copy the location and size of the current floor plan to all other floor plans. If you have several floor plans of the same building, you only need to measure and place one of them on the world map.
North – Set the floor plan’s North by entering its angle (0 to 360 degrees) or by dragging the North indicator in the top-right corner of the Tour Map.
Map Width – Enter the floor plan’s width in meters. A width of 0 is shown as not set. Click the measure button to turn on Measure Distance mode instead.
Latitude – The floor plan’s latitude. Click the geolocate button to turn on Geolocate Map mode, which shows the floor plan on the world map so you can position it by hand.
Longitude – The floor plan’s longitude.
Nodes – Select Anchor GPS to floor plan to keep the nodes’ GPS positions tied to the floor plan. When you then move, turn, or resize the floor plan on the world map, the GPS positions of its nodes are calculated again from their places on the floor plan, and their North turns with the floor plan. Nodes whose Geoposition is locked in the User Data keep their position. Selecting the checkbox on a floor plan that already has a position recalculates the nodes right away. When unselected, the nodes keep their GPS positions.
A new floor plan starts with this checkbox in a mixed state, which means that no choice has been made yet. It behaves like unselected. When you first geolocate a floor plan, Pano2VR asks whether the nodes should get their GPS positions from the floor plan and sets the checkbox to your answer. This happens when you turn on Geolocate Map for a floor plan that has nodes on it but no position yet.
Output
These settings apply to the floor plan image in the output.
Format – Choose JPG or PNG for the floor plan image.
Quality – Only available for JPG. Set the image quality from 1 (low) to 100 (high).
Rendering – Only available for PNG. Select Crisp Edges to keep the edges of the floor plan sharp when it is scaled.
Background Color – Click the color to open the color picker and choose a
background color for the floor plan. This is especially useful if the skin’s map
element has a different aspect ratio than the floor plan, which leaves some
empty area. Set the alpha channel to 0 for a transparent background.
