Pano2VR 8.1 Docs / Installation
This is beta documentation. View the latest stable documentation.

Installation

Installing requires downloading the software from ggnome.com and installing the program on to your desktop computer.

Requirements

  • macOS 13 or higher
  • Windows 10 (1809 or later)
  • Windows 11

Installation

  1. Depending on your system, download the appropriate version from our website.
  2. Once downloaded, open the installer to start the installation process.
  3. Add your license key.

Add License Key

Pano2VR opens with a welcome screen.

To use the trial version, click Try Pano2VR. While you use the trial version, the welcome screen appears every time you start Pano2VR.

To remove the trial marks, buy a license key and add it. Click Buy a license on the welcome screen to open a page in your browser where you can buy one.

Once you have a license key, click I have a license on the welcome screen and choose how Pano2VR should get the key:

  • Connect Account opens a browser window where you log in to ggnome.com. Once logged in, give permission to connect to your account, and Pano2VR picks up the license key from there.
  • Manually Enter lets you paste the license key yourself.

Alternatively, you can enter (and remove) your license key in the General tab of the Preferences/Settings.

Trial Version

You can use the trial version for as long as you like, with all the features of Pano2VR and projects of any size. Everything it exports is marked as trial output:

  • Images carry a watermark: the tiles of web output, Quick Share images, converted images, and other outputs.
  • Tours show a Pano2VR Trial mark, at a different spot each time they load.
  • A tour only opens with the pano2vr_player.js file that was exported with it.

The command line mode works in the trial version too, with the same marks.

Once you’ve added your license key, export your projects again to replace their trial output.

Installing Multiple Versions

You can have multiple copies of older and/or newer (beta) versions of Pano2VR installed. Rename the versions to create unique instances. Before installing the new version of Pano2VR, rename the existing copies of Pano2VR on your system.
