Pano2VR 8 Docs / Model Viewer Settings

3D Model Viewer Settings

The Viewer Settings show viewing and interaction options for the Viewer when a model is selected in the Tour Browser.

When a 3D model is selected in the Tour Browser, the settings change to show the following:

Toggle 3D Grid

Click the grid icon to show and hide the grid in the Viewer.

Toggle Collisions and Limits

Click the gate icon to toggle collision detection and viewing limits. When the gate is in the open position, no collisions occur. You can move through any 3D model boundary. Also viewing limits are ignored.

When the gate is down, collision detection is on. This is especially useful for the Walk Mode Camera Mode to avoid walk inside or through the model.

Toggle Open Nodes in Default View

When this option is selected, nodes will open with their default view.

Camera Modes

Camera modes change how you move through and interact with the 3D model, such as orbiting around it or walking through it.

Orbit Mode

Move around the model as if it were floating in front of you. You can rotate the view, zoom in and out, and explore the model from any angle without changing your distance too much. Dragging with the middle mouse button pressed, or the left mouse button while simultaneously holding the Option/Alt key, lets you pan the model.

Fly Mode

Move freely through 3D space, similar to flying with no gravity. You can move up, down, and in any direction. Good for exploring large or open models.

★ Tip  If you seem far from the model after switching to Fly mode, move up or zoom in or move forward to get closer again.

Fly-Over Mode

Move above and around the model like a helicopter. The camera stays level to the horizon and at a constant distance from the ground while flying over the scene. Dragging with the middle mouse button pressed, or the left mouse button while simultaneously holding the Option/Alt key, temporarily switches to Orbit Mode.

Walk Mode

Keep your view at ground level and move naturally through the model, as if you were walking inside it. The camera follows the model’s floor and boundaries to prevent you from “falling through” if the Toggle Collisions setting is turned on. Use the keyboard keys, Q,W,E,A,S,D to move in the model.

★ Tip  If you seem far from the model after switching to Walk mode, move up or zoom in or move forward to get closer again. It could be that collision detection was not on.

Toggle Ghost Hotspots

Shows and hides ghost hotspots which show where other hotspots are located or where they could be located.

Toggle Connections

Shows and hides the connections between camera points, when the viewer is in Camera Point Mode. When turned off, you will still see the connections going in and out of a certain camera point, when you select it in the viewer.
