waypoint
A user-defined intermediate point used to shape motion paths between camera points in a 3D model.
A waypoint is an intermediate marker placed on a motion path between Camera Points. Waypoints let you define curved or multi-segment transitions so the camera follows a specific route through the 3D model rather than moving in a straight line.
How to Use Waypoints
- Add: In Camera Points mode, create a link between two Camera Points, then double‑click the link to add a waypoint.
- Edit: Select a waypoint and use the 3D Transform Tool to move it in 3D space.
- Remove: Select a waypoint and press Delete or remove it from List View.
Tips
- Use waypoints to avoid geometry or to highlight a point of interest along the transition.
- Keep waypoint counts reasonable; too many can complicate optimization.
