Hotspot

This is the documentation for Pano2VR 4. You can find the new documentation for Pano2VR 5 here.

However, this document is still valid for the current version of Object2VR!

Hotspots are definable, interactive areas within the movie. When the user's mouse rolls or hovers over these hotspots, the user is presented with a clickable area of the image that may link to a webpage, image, another movie, or anything else that can be hyperlinked.

Hotspots presented on a touch device are activated when the user taps on the area of interactivity (which is usually visually marked).

Hotspots can be applied to all output formats except the Transformation output.

Point Hotspot[edit]

A point hotspot indicates a single point of interactivity.

Polygon Hotspot[edit]

A polygon hotspot allows you to draw a custom shape using as many points as necessary. The area in which the shape creates is interactive.

Area Hotspot[edit]

An area hotspot defines an area of interaction within an image. A user can click on this area to cause an action like opening a webpage or to show text. Area hotspots can be added to both VR panoramas and object VR movies. NOTE: Area Hotspots are not supported in the HTML5 output.
