Pro4 HTML5 Hidden images download sequence?

I’m interested in making a slide show of flat images within a panorama tour. I would build this with an image strip moving behind a container mask. Assuming skin images are externalized, and the slide show is initially hidden, how will a slide show affect downloading time?

If the still images are children of the image strip and image strip is child of a container that has masking enabled, will individual images
a) all download when the panorama is first downloaded
b) all download when the slide show is made visible
c) single image downloads as it becomes visible within mask?

I’m mainly interested in how a large slide show might affect downloading on a mobile device such as iPad Retina.

Is there a way to build a slide show that would offer better downloading efficiency?
