Hi,

I'm working on a tour which requires popup photos linked via hotspots. I've an issue with the hidden photo's getting in the way of navigation and I can't work out why it's happening. I've spent ages playing around with different configurations and now pulling my hair out.

Here's the link http://www.peterstephens.co.uk/virtual_ ... tairs.html and the ggsk file is attached. All the photo's need to be external for both the flash and html5 so that my client can update them.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Peter

Hi Pete,
Have you seen this: http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/HTM ... Containers

Also you need to look at HTML5 safe actions, as an update you can now use Show and Hide, Set Alpha but still not Change Alpha.
http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Mob ... fe_Actions

This tip needs an update, so in a nut shell, containers are active elements, and will stop interaction and don't use Change element Alpha, set element Alpha is ok.

The container: Pride of Exmouth Upstairs Photos is causing the main problem.

Regards,
Hopki

Have the same problem, external images do not work in html5, in flash all is ok.
Can someone share a skin with external images, working in html5 output?
Thanks in advance.

upd: sorry, haven't noticed that this is already added in the GGS Bugs http://gardengnomesoftware.com/bt/view.php?id=394

Dear Hopki:
Hi I posted this a while ago but got no response.
Hotspots again.
I am building a website for grade 3 social studies.
My tours work fine on PCs and I just got an iPad (Retina) to test them on that. I can move from room to room but when a wall picture is clicked on the iPad it does not close. I went back and re-used the peter.ggsk you made for me in 2011 and the same result:
http://ukrainealive.ualberta.ca/?page_id=58
I know it can be done as a recent post from Sweden (?) had cute expanding pics which close fine on the iPad.
For the hotspots I go from room to room with the xml file in the URL box but the pics have the jpg name in the Target.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Peter

Hi,
I found your skin very confusing. The Hotspot Editor uses the Skin-ID Picture but then there is not hotspot template with the ID picture?

What you need to do is add a hotspot template with an hotspot image that will open the external loader, give it an ID of say hsi, I think this is what you are using already. In the hotspot template give it the action to set text $ht, target the external loader and show the external loader, the loader to be set not visible.

The external loader to have the action to hide $self on mouse click.

Now in the hotspot editor use the Skin-ID hsi and as you have it already, the file name of the image in the target text field.
This should work as you want in Flash and HTML5.

Hopki

Dear Hopki:
Thanks.
I have problems with skins.
What I tried to do is modify one you wrote for me. I attach the modified and I used hsi for the pics and hsn for the next pano in the hotspot editor.
It works on the PC but the server is down.
Does the modified skin make sense?

Hi Peter,
Please find project attached.
Notes:
You need to hide and show the external loader, in HTML5 output an empty loader is still active so the skin now shows the loader as well as set the text and clicking on the loader now also hides it.

Hopki

Dear Hopki:
THANK YOU SO MUCH - it works on PC and iPad - from the posts I think a lot of people will want that skin.
I re-did the house tour and uploaded it:
