180° x 180° video

I am trying to make a partial, 180°x180° interactive panoramic video, recorded with a 8 mm fisheye and a frontal position - zneit/nadir and left/right 90°. I saw that from someone but forgot where... In a tutorial is a demo for a 360°x180° ... is it possible to trick it to make patial interactive video only with one lense?

Hi, I am looking at this and figure using an all black other half to the video it should compress down to nothing, then set view restrictions for pan and tilt as per the video.
