audio hotspot that fades when node changes?
Wondering what would be the best way to have audio fade as a node is exited. I don't want the whole audio track to keep playing to completion upon leaving, nor do I want it to cut off abruptly. Looking for a more natural effect walking from scene to scene.
Hi,
Just off the top of my head you could set up a number of timers that sequentially reduce the volume by a set percentage when you click to leave the node and conversely when you enter the next node.
Haven't tested it!

Hi,
Okay I had a quick play with the concept of using timers to fade out the audio.
I've created a sample tour with 2 nodes with individual Audio files on each. There are Previous and Next buttons to move from one node to the next. A "Play Audio" button and a status update of the "Fade".
If the "Play Audio" has not been selected the transition between nodes is a standard "Open next node" action.
If the "Play Audio" is active then clicking on either the Previous or Next button will. fade out the audio and at the end of the fade move to the next node where the individual audio file will play.

What do you think?

Hi Martin
Just following up on the revelation of Transitions: Sounds; you learn something new every day, I noticed that it doesn't work with sounds added to the skin only with Pinned Sounds, and that you cannot target a specific sound. Is this correct?
If so then the initial version would be applicable to sounds stored in the skin.
Cheers,
Tony

Hi,
Here's a version using the Transition: Sounds that Martin highlighted.
https://p2vr.s3.ap-southeast-2.amazonaw ... index.html
It has two pinned sounds and there is a crossover time of 2 seconds. You can Pause the audio and it will remained paused as you move via the Previous Next buttons until you click Play.
