Hi,

I'm having issues with Placeholders that used to work just fine on Pano2VR v6 and now that I'm using Pano2VR v7.02 they aren't working anymore!

I'm referring to this list of placeholders:

https://ggnome.com/doc/placeholders-list/

For example, I was using $(upi) to fetch the name of the project from the master node user data in order to create the export folder name and that stopped working.

Upon looking the placeholders list linked above, I saw that you don't list $(upi) anymore, not sure if this was a typo, but the reality is that it stopped working.

In this case, using $(ui) as a workaround solved the issue for now, however, there are other issues.

For example, in my theme, I'm using $(ups) to fetch a bit of information from the master node user data and that seems not to be working either. Changing it to $(us) works though.

Are we not allowed to store user data on the master node anymore?

What is going on here?

Cheers

Hi Carlos,
When adding placeholders use a text box and insurt placeholder button.

The page you are linking to is for Pano2VR 6
The page you need for Pano2VR 7 is https://ggnome.com/doc/pano2vr/reference/placeholders/

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the quick reply and for pointing me out to the correct Pano2VR 7 reference page.

Is there any reason why $(upi) and $(ups) are not available?

Cheers

Hi Carlos,
In V7 how it works is we have Project User Data which there are five text fields, Title, Description, Author, Copyright and Comment.
The Master node allows you to add text to one text field which will be used in all nodes unless overwritten.

This means that there are now Project placeholders and normal user data placeholders.

With Pano2VR 7 you also have the option to add a User Data custom property, and then copy it to all nodes.
Th place holder will be the User Data Variable.
