Hi,

For a tutorial on the solution please check out a new 3 part tutorial that takes you step-by-step through the process of calculating your multi-resolution tile and level sizes to create the perfect set of multi-resolution tiles, that, in a worse case scenario, would allow you to rebuild a missing equirectangular image in high resolution.

Along the way I provide an online calculator to determine optimum tile size for any equirectangular image and tutorials for a Mac based file renaming application and a Mac, Windows, Unix imaging tool to reassemble the tiles.

My thanks to Michael Buster for his essential contribution of the extraction, re-assembly process and the required software that makes it possible.

Once again any feedback or comments re the tutorials are appreciated.
