Prevent key presses affecting Animation/Auto Rotation

Hey,

I'm creating an animation sequence within my VT - an automated guided tour across multiple nodes.
The sequence works great, various hotspot info appears etc etc.

The issue I have is that any key press pauses the Animation sequence, and then after x seconds resumes just a standard auto-rotation spin. Not at all useful.

(Mouse click also pauses the animation, but I negated this by putting a 100% width/height rectangle over the screen with a 0.001 alpha.)

Is there a way to stop key presses affecting the animation sequence?

Good question, I'm not very familiar with animations and I've been doing some of the tutorials and playing with the function today and I noticed that the mouseclick would stop the animation and then it would restart after a short break.

I wasn't aware of the key press but I see it does the same thing as a mouse click.

Hi,

I encounter the same problem.

So, instead of using the toogle state in the action editor for the same button (StartStopRotation) I use two different buttons, one for the StartRotation which become invisible during the rotation and unhide the button StopRotation.

When StopRotation is pressed, the rotation stop, StartRotation becomes visible again and hide StopRotation.

It's the only way I found to resolve this problem.

And I forgot to say that I disabled the key pressed function to start the rotation...
