Buttons - they stay highlighed when release mouse

I dont completely understand the buttons in the skin... I added some buttons, all with an image for the state normal and selected,
but when a user hold the mouse button over it, and release the mouse somewhere else, the button stays selected (should be unselected).
How to easily avoid this without having to custom add function lines on all buttons?
I want the button to be highlighted when the user presses on the button, and when releasing (on or somewhere else) should trigger an image (and not any more highlighted).
