Hi All,
Does anyone know how to get rid of the . in an empty text/title box for a panorama or popup link?
Sometimes I don't want a title there so I leave it blank, the software seems to just add a . anyway.
Cheers, Rob

Hi Rob,
I take it you have a mouse enter and leave action to show and hide the text box in the hotspot template.
If this is the case then yes it is presumed that all hotspots will have text.
The simple solution is copy the hotspot template and give it a different ID. Then remove the text box and the action to show and hide it from the copy.
All you need to do now is go to your hotspot editor and specify the Skin-ID of the hotspot template you want to show at which point hotspot.

Hopki

Still odd though. It might be assumed the text box has text but when none is added. Something somewhere decides to be smart and add a . Why?
I can't think of any other application that adds a text character when I don't want one. A bit odd.

Hi Rob,
What you are seeing is the background and border of the text box with no text.
If you removed the border and background then you should not see anything.
You could do this with the two text box drop shadow effect which does not need the border and background, please see: http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Tex ... dow_Effect
But people like eye candy so having a second hotspot template is the way you would do this.
