Fading from one pano to the next?

One effect I've seen a good deal is that when I'm viewing someone's flash panorama on a page, they've got thumbnail images available, and if you click on one, the screen does a fade transition to another panorama, for example, from one room to another.

Perhaps I just don't know Pano2vr's terminology for this, but I've been unable to find anything via searches. Can Pano2vr do this sort of thing? If so, can someone point me to an example and maybe a tutorial?

I actually got an answer for this elsewhere, so I've got the fading transition working, but it's a VERY clunky transition. Rather than a smooth fade, it kind of clicks through five states of transition. Not sure what I might be doing wrong here.
