Re: Mobile cache manifest - 2
Yes. Agreed. I have done a little reading around and it appears the iPhone will cache no more than a couple of megabytes. I will take your suggestion Smooth; I need to cache a couple of tours to show them (along with the trendy gyroscopic movement) to a terribly keen customer on Tuesday - a 400 mile...

Re: Mobile cache manifest - 2
The first bit now works, but it will not cache ti the iPhone at all. Shame about that, since the antennae on these things is crap and the saved version would have been very useful.
Thanks for all the input.

Re: Mobile cache manifest - 2
I did use the loading text script; it can be seen just under the skin. I included the gyro script in the manifest, but I cannot see how that would be a problem.
Good idea about the rotate button.

Re: Joomla
I am not sure. It will probably mean still using the dreaded html page, which is not easy to upload, as I said.
I would suggest you use the plugin.
Good luck!

Re: Joomla
Hello Peter, Joomla is an odd one; it doesn't like you uploading html/php pages to start with and using those with a link from another page within the Joomla environment, However, you can get lightbox clone plugins which will allow you to display the swf directly. There are several available; you ne...

Mobile cache manifest - 2
Ok . . . I have watched Marty's video; read the accompanying texts and followed all the instructions to the letter. I have the correct mime type, added the text to the .htaccess too. Uploaded everything as suggested, and whilst the first of my panos will download to my iPhone, the remainder, when I ...

Mobile cache manifest
Hello folks! Could someone explain how the cache manifest works with the new P2VR? I have a tour that I have outputted for mobiles, inc. iPhones, obviously, and wonder if I need to output the manifest for each file I would like cached on my phone, or whether I should just add to the manifest from ot...

Don't know why, unless you speak Norwegian (a difficult language - most here can't understand it). Thanks for the thumbs-up, though!

Norwegian Real Estate
One abandoned house, complete with contents, now opened as a museum that shows how the rich used to live in Norway. Oddentunet was a farm dating back hundreds of years, which was bought and built upon in the 1820s. The new building was remarkably sumptuous, being funded through the supply of coal fr...

Re: Delay effects
Well, it was inspired by Terry's tour: there was a question on Panoguide to find if it was possible using Pano2vr. So, I decided to have a go (I have accredited Terry with the idea). The answer is that the menu is created using imported swf files that I created with Flash; all that was necessary was...

Delay effects
This is a good one . . . Has anyone tried to create delayed effects with Pano2vr? I know it isn't theoretically possible, but I also know that many people manage things by thinking out of the box, as it were. So if anyone has a tip they can share with me, I would be grateful; the sort of thing I am ...

Per Lysgaard - Sculpturer - The Full Monty
The tour, complete with its crappy light problems is now completed and any feedback would be gratefully received.
Please forgive the sperm'n'eggs leitmotif . . . It is a recurrent theme throughout the gallery!

This particular gallery has been superceded with the full tour, so the images mentioned no longer work.
A new posting is posted in the Websites Gallery.
Thanks.
