Re: Wish: Expiring swf panos created with Pano2VR
Yes, this would be VERY USEFUL feature. An expiration date for the swf and URL check to run the swf only from a given URL. Some time ago I posted this link to an old AS2 script as an example: http://gousable.com/flash/swf_protector.html Also the old PTCrypt application from Prof. Dersch offered limi...

Embedding with swfobject works pretty well. You can find some demo code at http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/wiki/test_suite

Re: what tripod to get?
Bill Bailey on NodalNinja has some older equipment in the shop: https://store.nodalninja.com/category_s/30.htm Ask him before if the head is long enough to rotate your 350D + 15mm Fisheye to 90° upwards. Another cheap head is the Panosaurus or you build your own stuff, this isn't too complicated. Lo...

But that's good news for content creators if panoramas will go mainstream!

Re: what tripod to get?
You should get a panorama head like the Nodal Ninja. For hiking look at the specs of the older NN3. The Gitzo Ground Level System is a great help in levelling the pano head: http://www.gitzo.com/Jahia/site/gitzo/cache/offonce/pid/15935 However, there are also cheaper tripods available... Also a rapi...

Re: no more than 100 on Panorama Viewing Parmeters FOV zoom
Thomas, I have to check once more - but it seems that the current limit is smaller than 125°, I think only a bit more as 90 degrees. Example: The max FOV was set to 115° in Pano2VR, but the actual max FOV on the swf doesn't reach 115", zooming out stops before reaching 115°. http://www.thomaskr...

Re: Pano2VR 2.1 beta released
Thomas, could it be that there is a hardcoded Max Field of View (Zoom) of about 90° for the Panorama Viewing Parameters for the Flash9 export?
Trying to set view of about 115° has no effect on the flash output, there seems to be a certain limit in the program.

Also including something like a slider with an embedded map from uMapper wouldn't be a bad idea.

Re: Wishlist: Tracking of Flash content on the web
If you license something to a client and they publish a renamed swf file on an unknown html file, the licensed flash file will still ping back to the copyright holder.

Re: Wishlist: Tracking of Flash content on the web
But the concept to track swf files online is a good idea if somebody has to make money from his panorama pictures. Or you put some limitations inside the swf like URL control or a data validitation like some kind of a license for n months, and after this timeframe the swf file won't play anymore. Cr...

Wishlist: Tracking of Flash content on the web
The website http://www.mochibot.com offers free tracking of swf files on the web. How does it work: You simply copy and paste a few lines of ActionScript from MochiBot.com into your Flash file (FLA), and publish the SWF. Every time your Flash content is played, MochiBot sends a signal to our servers...

Re: Splash Screen for Fast Start
Working on a new website (also with Wordpress like Domenico) I decided to go for a simple image with a kind of play button linked to another page with the panorama in fullframe, where I can put in also the description (for search engines) and an advertising block. Image example in the posting: 20080...
