i now use a workaround by adding in the skin;
on ConfigLoaded, if language CONTAINS "en" set language "en".
which works. but it worked without this workaround in B4 so it seems the language code it gets from the browser isn't "en"..

Ah indeed i've seen that video when V7 was just released. However what i'm trying to achieve is getting subtitles in normal (flat) HTML5 popup player, triggered by a video hotspot. It probably only takes a few lines of script to let the default html5 player 'know' to use a subtitle file.

it seems skin text variable values are shown and can be translated in the PO and POT files, but they don't show up in the output.. at least, i can't get it to work. (working with B5)

Hi, I wonder if there is a way to have the embedded video player pick up and show subtitles (srt). I now put the srt with same file name in same folder, but no show in Firefox or Chrome (windows). I do see the controls for playback, but also no button to enable subtitles there.. Is that a limitation...
