A different type of hosting question
Hello All; I have a number of HTML/css/JavaScript/jquery and image files I’d like to host. These are virtual tours authored in Pano2 VR and Dreamweaver. I am building an iPad/Android app that will https:// link to these assets. Two developer associates of mine suggested GitHub, but there is a bit of...

Re: Disabling Image Preview Output
Using multi resolution will help with image quality. In the example of a 500px player window size using a single res of 8,000 equirectangular (2000 cube face) image will look over sharpened when displaying without zoom. So cramming in 2000px in to a 500px window So setting up more than one level wi...

Re: Disabling Image Preview Output
Hi Guys, The following example is for a player/window size of 500px with allowing 4 x zoom. Not forgetting the default is to divide the equirectangular by 4 to get the cube face size, and you want a cube face to fill your window. So with allowing the viewer 4 x zoom the first level will be 8,000px ...

Disabling Image Preview Output
I am embedding, rather than downloading, several panoramic VR nodes in an app for the iPad/Android/Kindle. Since the files are embedded, I want to disable the output of lower-resolution preview images to decrease file size. I tried Output > Download/Preview > Type: None , but still have folders fill...

Re: Zoom problems on the iPad: Twixl/InDesign
Tony-- Thanks for the help. The preview was working fine in my browser, but not in the Twixl app previewer. I downloaded the newest files from the site (only $16!), including updated jquery (the version I had was 2011) and so far so good. Now to tweak, but I think its going to work just fine. Exciti...

Re: Zoom problems on the iPad: Twixl/InDesign
By hand but its very simple and comes with complete instructions and samples. Just swap out their images for yours. Tony-- I built a fairly simple HTML/CSS document that basically does the same thing you have linked to here, except that it uses the iOS pinch and zoom (rather than javascript) to res...

Re: Zoom problems on the iPad: Twixl/InDesign
Tony--Okay try this one http://rebrand.ly/zoompinch
Does this require copy/pasting and modifying code by hand, or does it sit within a GUI?

Re: Zoom problems on the iPad: Twixl/InDesign
Have you tried input your panorama as a "Cylinder"? Dave— I have tried that, but the cylinder and spherical approaches add a level of distortion that I don’t like, even when I tweak the Field of View, etc. The image itself would look great printed out on paper and hung from the wall, but ...

Re: Zoom problems on the iPad: Twixl/InDesign
I notice that even though you have made the window larger to 1024 x 552 you are still loading the same size image 4090 x 1066. What happens if you take the 4090 x 1066 image and add black bars top and bottom to bring it to a size that matches the ratio of the window, 4090 x 2206, and load that into...

Here are screen shots with explanations. This first example works fine.
This example is where the zoom-out problems are occurring.

Zoom problems on the iPad: Twixl/InDesign
I have created a number of cubic panoramic shots for use in an iPad app I am working on. The app is being designed and developed using Adobe InDesign, with the Twixl 5.6.4 extension and Twixl Publisher 5.6.4. I have created ten cubic panoramas in Pano 2 VR, and they all seem to work just fine when I...
