My first real play with HDR,Very happy.
To reduce the file size I am using 75% image quality.

Using the HDR technique in daylight is very useful for increasing the dynamic range of the image. However, it is probably less noticable than shooting indoors and getting those "see the trees and grass" through the otherwise blown out windows.

Hi
I have made a non-hdr and an hdr from PT GUI using the same set of photos, just did not use the bracketed images.
The fence to the right goes darker and the contents of the conservatory also darkens. The sky is also blown out in the non-hdr pano too. There are so many small differences, but all make one big difference.

Hmm.
I always shoot hdr images, but am not always convinced of their value, since the contrast seems always to be lacking.
I usually add a layer copy with a softlight overlay at whatever percentage opacity looks best; that quite often puts back a little of the contrast and allows the 3D aspect of the image to return a tad.
In the case of this image, I would have been inclined to process it down a couple of stops and use D-lighting or fill to lift the darker tones. That way, the sky would look slightly less bland.

Nice result: it doesn't have this "HDR_look" that I usually hait !!!
Just one thing: you should have blurred a bit the Nadir patch: it's much sharper than the surrounding grass !

Hello Hopki,
how to achieve the effect - switching between two panoramas in the same place?
Regards
Witold

Hi Witold
Just put $cur in the target field.
This is for Current Pan/Tilt/FoV, just make sure the two panos are from the same source or taken from the same starting positions if different.
Looking back at the pano, blue sky and BBQ's, roll on summer

I do understand the situation and why Hopki used the HDR. Here is another example: it was a sunny day with clear blue sky but unfortunately with the haze covering the sun. The haze made a dipersion of the sunlight which made a huge white area around the sun. With lower shutter speed the lake was completely dark. I solved the problem with the HDR (-2,0, +2): http://www.burger.si/Dobrovnik/Bukovnis ... o/vrp.html.Mdholl wrote:Hi, Hopki!
I cant understand what for did you use hdr here?
I used the same medthod here: http://www.burger.si/VolcjiPotok/Marec/marec.html.
