Washed out colors in WebXR using Safari on the Apple Vision Pro

Trying to test a Pano2VR tour using the WebXR features of Safari on Vision Pro. The colors of the objects in the scene when viewed in the normal Safari window look correct. Upon entering immersive mode all the colors are washed out. I've read reports of this issue elsewhere on the web with no cause or solution given. What could be causing this? The Vision Pro is running visionOS v1.0.3. Using the latest version Pano2VR 7 on Windows 10 64-bit.

It looks like Apple uses a linear SRGB color space in immersive mode, which is, as far as I can tell, wrong. I could fix the colors for the Vision Pro, but this would break it for all the other devices. Another option would be to implement a work around just for the Vision Pro. But then, if Apple fixes it, the colors would be broken again.

Thanks. Is there a way for me to edit the output from Pano2VR to workaround the problem?

As this problem is still in the visionOS 1.2 I have now implemented a workound for Safari 17 in the Pano2VR 7.1 beta 1.
