Link to specific column

Hi,
I'm creating a menu (in the skin) with different components that can be found on a machine. If e.g. a component placed on the back of the machine is selected, I want the image sequence to jump (or even better - spin) to show the back of the machine where the component (hotspot) is located. Is this possible? It should be a fairly simple "Column=19" or similar. Any thoughts?
