Hi,
I am with P2VR 5.1
I have done some 360 video and put them in P2VR. Offline everything is working fine, but online, I have a huge gap between both eyes. Is there a way to preload the 2 videos first, then start them playing to avoid this 5 or 10 s gap between them?
thanks,
Oli

Hi Oli,
Video does not work, as you have seen it can not sync properly.
The cardboard output is for panos only with basic navigation.
Regards,
Hopki

I found that google viewer and some others are using 2 stacked videos for 360 stereoscopic video (2 stacked videos in the same video file, so no more time gap between the 2 eyes).
Are you planing to do something like that soon?
Can I use your skin within google viewer? (how?)

thanks,
Oli

Hi Oli,
Yes at the moment we separate the two views using the HTML page so they are to separate outputs in a sense so can not be sync.
We plan to bring this all into the player and in so doing have far more control.

Hopki

Hi Old,
As said we separate the views in the HTML page, the player Kolor use split the screen in the player.
Will will be doing this at some point but can I ask what platform will you be using Android or Apple?

Hopki

I know that apple is limited with video output to 1920x1080. So we will use android as we can play even 4k videos. There is a nice blog about video compression for 360 stereo video :
https://purplepill.io/blog/best-encodin ... vr-videos/
I was pointing to kolor because on their website they talking about playing the 360stereo video with the oculus, but not within a web player... That is what confused me. Apparently only google and another guy on github are working on a js player with both eyes of the video sticked together, which would allow to have a perfect synchro between the 2 eyes. I tested the google player but it is a little crap (implementation is not easy if you want something simple).
thanks
