hallo,

i tried a reportage with an integrated 360° video (after the second panorama):

http://www.wisocast.at/kulturfuechsin/klang/

but if the video is not in the cache of the browser it stutters and interrupts.

on ipad and iphone the video will not be shown.

questions:
is there a possibillity to preload the video? or what is the right way to do this.

i think it is the painful topic with the video format:

in this case i took the 1920x960 wisely that the other resolutions are too big,
but of course i want at least take the highest resolution which is possible ...

and at least i noticed that the same video file which i used pano2vr 5 did not work if i use it in pano2vr 6.
only the sound will be played.

tech:
the files are from a mijia sphere, produced in power director 16, pano2vr alll on win 10.

has someone know-how and hints for a useful workflow with implemented 360° videos?

thanks,
best regards,
wiso

Hi Wiso,

the same here:

http://www.pano.szenerien.de/Nuris-01/index.html

The video-file is about 450 MB.

This 360° function seems to be not really usable.

[update 20 March 2018] - We are using Chrome version 64.0.3282.186 (Official Build) (64-bit).

Hmmm. Clicked point hotspot and received 404 file not found.

We usually keep movie clips to less than 1 minute so file size is small.

Hi Guys,
How large the video is and which browser will make all the difference.
Don't forget we use the native browser support, so Firefox and Chrome are your best bet with video res of 3840 x 1020px
However Safari and mobiles work well with 2048 x 1024.
You can set 3840 then use alternative file 2048.
What will happen is the browser will look dow the list and play the first it can.
Also when encoding the video make sure you use web optimised for better streaming.

Here is a project you can download and play with: Car 2048.
Cheers,
Hopki
