Hello,
I need to upgrade my computing hardware and am thinking of switching from a desktop to a laptop. I know there are issues with a Win machine's GPU becoming overwhelmed and crashing when trying to set up a tour. I am looking at these machines; any recommendations are appreciated. I do not play games, however I do frequently use PowerDirector for video editing, as well as Hugin for photo stitching.

Tour editing on a laptop?
Hi BHanson,
I'm on the road a lot and therefor depend on my laptops a lot. The specs you want from a laptop for building virtual tours are:
-> Big graphics card (Nvidea or AMD)
-> The more memory the better
-> Preferable a late i7 CPU
-> Big screen (the biggest you can carry around =) )
My first laptop is a bit older now but performs very good and is light (a spec I prefer when traveling by plane) is a MSI GS60 Ghost Pro with a 15,6" mat screen 32Gb of memory and a double SSD disk (in Raid) for the OS. It weights only 2 Kg. Official its a gaming laptop.
Also a gaming laptop is my main laptop a bit younger, this is a MSI GS70 Stealth Pro with a 17" mat screen and 16Gb. It only weights 2.6Kg.
They both have a GeForce GTX 970M graphic card that speeds up a lot of computing.
Regards,
Arjan
