Very weird, since a week or two no matter which version of P2VR5 I install, the menu bar is not shown. When I click where it should be, the menu appears as it should. As a side effect the underlying icons are not clickable because of this. Please see the screenshot:

I use Windows 10 64 bit, all latest updates installed. Any thoughts?

I have the same problem. However, my version is Pano2VR pro 5.1 64 bits.

The problem is not just in the menu. I can not click on the drop-down menus, buttons or any kind of UI directly.

If click around those then it works.

Is there any configuration to fix this?

Thank you

Ah, I'm happy that apparantly I am not the only one. Indead, same here about the clicking. I have to click just below the button or menu item to have the correct response. The Skin Editor does not have this problem, the main screen and live preview do.

Hope you figure it out soon.

I've tried to re-install and didn't work. So if you have the same problem and you know a solution, please tell me.

Hi Guys,
If the tool bar is missing, right click any panel either side at the top and you will see you can check it back on.

Well, it's not about the tool bar, but about the menu holding 'File', 'Edit', etc.

Hi Guys,
Its very odd this is only now this is being reported.
Can I ask, do you think it could coincide with a Windows update?

This is being reported on Pano2VR 5.1 as well as 5.2.
5.1 has been out for a long time and I would of thought that if this was an issue with Pano2VR this would have been reported mush sooner.
Also we have a lot of Windows users and thus far only two here have the issue.

So my thoughts are a combination of updates and installed software.

I have spoken with one of the developers who I know uses Windows and I made sure my windows 10 build is up to date and installed a new copy of Pano2VR 5.2 beta.
We can not reproduce the issue.

What software do you have on your system, you can PM me if you do not want to share in the forum.

As another thought, can you try and press Alt?

Did not work the alt key. I understand that is difficult to replicate the same problem.

The software that I have are:
Affinity Photo
Affinity Designer
Google Chrome
Unity 3D
Wamp
Filezilla
Git
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
Avast Free antivirus
Wacom tablet
Visual Studio Community
Visual Code

My OS is Windows 10 Home Single Edition 64 bits.
-------------

The major problem for me is when I try to scale patches, I can not grab the points and drag to scale. When I try this the object is deselected.

I've made a video to show you the issues. I apologize for my English in advance.

Hi Guys,
Right I now have three people with the same problem, we can not reproduce it so can I ask:

• Is it only Pano2VR with this issue?
• Do you have any other software that also has this issue?

Looking at the list of installed software from engrama, do you have any on the list installed on your system?
I know the Wacom tablet driver has caused problems in the past with the pen driver set to Mouse, changing to Pen fixed a problem where clicking did not work.

Im also thinking are you using a theme, if so what one?

@engrama,
Can you try change the Wacom driver to pen mode, I do believe Mouse Mode may cause this.

As said we can not reproduce the menu bar issue, several different computers all working ok.
But I will be very interested is after changing the driver this also changes.

@ everyone, if you are having the same issue please look at the list in the above post and do you have the same software installed.
If so try uninstalling and does the menu bar come back.

Hopki

I do not have the same issue with other software, only Pano2VR.

Software in common:
Google Chrome
Filezilla
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

I uninstalled all three, restarted, but problem persists.

My OS is Windows 10 Pro 64 bits (legal)

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for the information.
This is proving to be a real mystery.
Do you have another computer and does the menu show on this?
So far three customers have this issue and only three computers.
Of course we want to get to the bottom of this but without being able to reproduce the issue the developers have a touch job.

Hi Hopki, I installed P2VR5 beta 4 on another Windows 10 Pro machine and indeed, same issue there.

Some thoughts about the source of our trouble:
  • Bitdefender Total Security 2017 blocking the menu bar?
  • Latest Windows updates spoiled something?
  • Some Java update acting weird?
  • Windows language version playing a role? (Dutch here)
  • Redundant P2VR files (in)active?
  • Legacy drivers or DLLs needed by P2VR?
Kind regards, Dennis
