I created a number of panos of rooms of a hotel and use a thumbnail bar to move from one node to another. One of the rooms was small so had the tripod in one corner thus have limited the rotation/viewing area across three of the corners. If this room is being viewed and the rotation is in an anticlockwise phase and you select the next node this will similarly open and rotate in an anticlockwise direction. Is it possible to overcome this and set the opening direction on all nodes to clockwise? Rotation speed etc is set by the rotation start/stop buttons in the controller.

Thanks

Hi Phil

Auto rotation has different direction modes and may be configured like this (also see screen capture):

[X]Auto Rotation

Pan Speed: -0.03°/Frame
Where rotation speed is LEFT ( use - minus symbol ) Right (use + symbol ) or do not use Auto Rotate for rotation
Rotation speed is expressed as degrees of ARC around horizon (panorama image mid horizon center) 0.03 is very slow and 0.15 is very fast. We use .07°for moderate rotation.

Operation is first current mouse position. monitor Screen is drawn at this point. THEN rotate step .03° to left and screen is refreshed. THEN again .03° to left another .03° and so on. .03 means 3/10 ths of 1° degree. So larger degree value to faster steps and faster rotation.

Slow speed allows the visitor video card to process the screen draw positions smoothly. A fast .15 sometimes displays panorama image straight lines as jagged or pixels stair stepped.

Delay: 5.0s
is reference to after no mouse or keyboard activity then in 5 seconds restart auto rotation

Return to Horizon 2.0
is reference to when the visitor has zoomed far IN or OUT after 5 seconds of no activity... to zoom out and return to the panorama horizon line and then restart auto rotation. Lets say visitor has zoom in or out.... then receives a phone call delaying them to return to looking at the panorama. The Auto Rotate function will start over on the panorama horizon and begin the rotation. Return to horizon is a courtesy feature.

[_] Start after fully loaded
If selected the auto rotation will begin only after the very large panorama has fully downloaded to the visitor computer. Is sometimes use along with applying the skin "Loading bar" module.

Change Node: [Never] [x] Random
Not sure but maybe auto rotation maybe specified as "Never" for only looking at current Node (in multi node tours) or specify when node randomly selected (non ordered node sequence). I would have to consult the "Documentation". Usually I pre-select each node panorama and set auto rotation.

Hi Dave

Many thanks for responding so quickly and comprehensively. I had found out that inserting a minus sign before the rotation speed caused it to rotate anticlockwise but hadn't realised that putting a plus sign, rather than no sign, would force a clockwise direction.

Perfect and again many thanks

Phil
