Wishing to do a completely-integrated pinned video (similar to the "Blacksmith" example) I found this tutorial
https://ggnome.com/wiki/Pin_and_Align_V ... Pano2VR%29

with its rather complex steps including extracting video frames.

But then I also find this tutorial:
http://ggnome.com/doc/pano2vr/beta/video-add/

which seems to accomplish the same thing (I hope) with a much simpler process.

Does both workflows accomplish the same thing? I wish to achieve an effect similar to the "Blacksmith." Would the simpler "Use the Video Mode to pin video in a panorama" process do this for me?

Thank you,

Howard

Hi Howard,
To be clear pinned video is different to pinned and alined.
Pinned video lets you pin a video on say a TV screen in a panorama where it does not need to blend in with its surroundings.
Pinned and alined needs to become part of the image and does require the more complex steps.

Now that is a lot of work invested in that panorama.

How many seconds was the video ?

Thank you for the show and tell.

Thanks Dave & Wiso.

The model RR video is 27 sec., and the semaphore loop is only 1 sec.

After I did this, I discovered that the video will not play on the iPhone. I wonder if I did something wrong, or if this technique just is not supported on handheld devices?

Not supported by iPhone but works ok on iPad.
That said when pinning video the video must not be any larger then 1080 of Safari wont play it.
You can add different resolutions of the same video, start with the best res first then the lowers going down.
When opened the browser will look down the list and play the first video it can.
