Any experience in how to prepare the images for the best result on Google Street View?

Let me explain my question: I noted, that my panoramas which I uploaded through Pano2VR to SV have much higher loading time than the images I uploaded through the Street View App on my iPhone. This is what I uploaded:

Pano2VR: 12000x6000px (5-11 MB per image) https://goo.gl/maps/AdLika3WiCK2
SV App: 8600x4300px (12-23 MB per image) https://goo.gl/maps/Fqu1WBReoiE2

Yes i know, the panoramas I uploaded via Pano2VR have a higher resolution, but the file size is smaller.

1. question: How does Pano2VR handle the images when we upload to Street View? Does it makes sense to load jpg in Pano2VR or the raw tif file with 700MB every image? What typ of file does Pano2VR upload to the Google servers?

2. question: any advice on how to improve loading time? What makes the difference? File size, resolution or the way we upload the images?

Hi Yanick,
Pano2VR uploads by default 12000 x 6000 JPG.
As always you can input whatever resolution as input images but pano2VR will remap and convert to JPG.
The only thing I can think of as to why it takes longer to upload from Pano2VR is because of the location it uploads to.
Don't forget we are using the API as provided by Google for the upload.
