Hi,

I have discussed this in the past and when moving from pano2VR V4 to V5 this issue was already a concern to me.
I was used to have a config file per node, in V5 it is one config file per tour.

I'm now working on two tours, one with 80 photo's and one 20 photo's. They are setup separately with there own skins and media.
I now need to merge these tours into one and I don't fancy building the 20 node tour again inside the 80 node tour. All information is already there in the 20 node config file.

What I could do is copy the <panorama></panorama> parts from the 20 node tour and paste it in the <tour></tour> section of the 80 pano tour. Problem is the nodenames, there are duplicate node names and I think that will not work.
Is there an easier way to merge two configfiles into one config file, maybe an hidden feature or option ?

The possibility to be able to rename node names in a config-file to unique names would help me out also ....

Hi Arjan,
Here is a clue...
Open one of your projects with 5.1 beta and then right button click in the tour browser.
You will see Add Project

Before you go any further I would copy both project files first so you have back ups before you do this as this is a new feature.

I would also create a folder and put in all the input images from both projects as well as both p2vr files and skin files.
Then open the p2vr file you want as the master then add the other to the project.
It should copy all the hotspots and use the relevant skin for the nodes.

Ok, that sounds like a very handy feature, I'll try it and report back on how it's going ...

Wow, the merging option is great.
Needed it to convert previously made 3 different street view tours into one multi-level street view tour.
Thanks!

Just used the merge thing for the 1st time.

Very useful as I have a few 50+ tours I need to add to as time goes by.

So to test this out I created a separate new 4 node tour, linked the nodes, geotagged accurately, added some patches to fix minor issues. Merging worked well, excepts the patches were not copied over.

The original tour with many nodes has a master patch with a logo, so editing/adding any new patch is problematical as the master node logo appears in the editing app. so I thought this workflow would be great, add patches, merge, all ok.

But the patches weren't!!

Any workflow tips?

Thanks,

Keith
