Hi

Hoping you've seen this before and it's an easy fix however I couldn't see it in the forum so having to post my issue.

I have followed the tutorials to upload my tour to Street View but none of my tours seem to upload well.

1.) When they appear on Google and I try to navigate through the panoramas in a browser window I get the big square instead of the large arrow.

2.) The tour also seems to take forever to load, so it's blurry for quite a while, my max image width is still at the default of 12000px.

3.) I've also lost linked panorama connections that I've set, so I can't travel around the business as previously thought.

4.) Finally, it's difficult to click to the next panorama and when I have clicked through to the next panorama I seem to be facing the floor instead of straight forward.

Here's a screenshot of my workflow, if it helps at all.

And here's a link to one of the live tours;- https://goo.gl/GjwwEL

Any help is really appreciated!

Hi Bevan,
It seems your map pin placement is not as accurate as it should be.
You should not use the Satellite view and never at the 45º angle.
Switch to Map View, which looks straight down, you will see a huge difference in location.
Set out your pins in this view.

For performance you and we are reliant on Googles own player and speed, nothing we can do to influence this I'm afraid.
It does not matter how large your input panoramas are as Pano2VR will remap oversized panos to 12K JPG's anyway by default.

What I have found in the desktop version of a tour is Google add hotspots not take them out, I'm putting this down to may be the map pin placement.
Im sure when you set the pins a lot of the linking issues will be solved.

Hopki

Appreciate your help and responses Hopki!

I did actually set the pins in the Map View, I'm used to doing it like that from the old Google editor. To me the pins look like they are in the right place but maybe they're not and this is why it's working so badly when it's live. I've uploaded a few tours through Pano2VR and they all seem to have the same issues so I was worried it was something I was doing when uploading them. Could I delete the tour and try uploading again? Can you share some of your tours so I can see these issues aren't specific to me.

Hi Bevan,
I have seen some posts in the Facebook Street View user group complaining of the same thing and people are using different software.
It also makes a difference whether your using the App or the Desktop.
Here are a few of mine:

https://goo.gl/maps/3iLPit6Yzjz Three Nodes

https://goo.gl/maps/23jEZcQg9dL2 Eight Nodes

https://goo.gl/maps/pz3pd7EK7r12 Two Nodes

https://goo.gl/maps/UAYMMHjE4oL2 Eight Nodes

You will note the load times vary somewhat even though they were all taken with the sam kit, except for the last link this was shot with a Theta.
Pano2VR like all software just adds meta data and uploads to the Google Server.
The speed its served is down to the server and connection, and of course file size.
Apart from the Theta Tour all the other images are 12K JPG.

The Street View by Bevan work fine on a desktop. Fast and correctly linked, have you did something to fix the SV?

The first three examples by Hopki are a bit slow on panning and navigation. The last is a little faster.

I have same speed navigational issue with hi-res panoramas created with 24MP nikon reflex, fisheye and PTGui, linked and uploaded at 10000px width with pano2vr 5.2. I have a little complains by some client.
I know that pano2vr resize and compress the images but I think there are some problem with big panoramas on SV. Sure the big is the desktop monitor and more are pixel to download.

Hi,
There has been a Google response saying it can take unto 10 seconds to render a pano.
This is know and they are looking into it.
Here is another recent tour of our village green.
Note all my links were shout on a Canon 750D with Sigma 8mm and uploaded with Pano2VR Pro so 12 x 6K Equirectangular, We apart from the last 8 node tour in my above post, this I used a Theta.
