Hi all,

I've seen the Hopki's explanation for making diferent colored hotspots in the same 360. But I don't get it :(
Output hotspots in one image. You will then end up with a xxx_hs.png image with the colours used for the Hotspots.
Where / How to output Hotspots in one single image ?
I've drawn a simple polygon hotspot on one of my state (on the 36 columns). When I look at the tiles image I have :
hs_0_0_0.png, hs_1_0_0.png, hs_2_0_0.png, hs_3_0_0.png, hs_4_0_0.png, hs_5_0_0.png

All theses PNG are black so i guess they are empty ... and they didn't match "xxx_hs.png"
They are 8bit Mac pallet as used by QTVR.
1st HS = ffffcc
2nd HS = ffff99
3rd HS = ffff66

...and so on.

Then name them to match the required input image:
input image name = xx1.jpg = xx1_hs.png
input image name = xx2.jpg = xx2_hs.png

So with this in mind it is possible to do this now.
Just put the images in the same folder and turn on hotspots.
If you have 4 different hotspots the you will need to click the add hotspot button 3 times more.

When using Photoshop to make the hs_png images just make sure you use Save for Web Device etc. Choose PNG-24 and unselect Transparency.

Hi Mr.Soyouz,
This was for area hotspots and using the hs_png image to draw the hotspot area outside of Object2VR.
What is it you want to do?

Hi Hopki,

What I need to do :

Import area hotspots with different colors and which shape and location is defined by external files.

Different colors to illustrate different thematics (blue area hotspot = theme 01, green area hotspot = theme 02, red area hotspot = theme 03). I need to be able to visualiza these different hotspots at the same time. Each hotspot could change its color from a config file or a database or XML etc ...

The hotspots shapes would come from JPG or TGA mask rendered from 3D soft, we usually use this to define photoshop selection.

The location of the area hotspot would be defined by an external file (database, config file, XML, ...).

Hi Mr.Soyouz,
Ok I see what your doing, sorry then you wont be able to do this.
Area hotspots are not visible in the output. Only poly hotspots can be seen but they would be all the same colour.
The only thing I can think of is colour the areas in the images then use a poly hotspot over the active areas.
If you had a white poly with say alpha 50 then as you hover it would appear to be a lighter colour, light blue, lighter red etc.

Hi Hopki, hmmm ok ... I think coloring base image is not a solution because client must have access to modify the color of 1 hotspot, so it can't be "hard coded" in the image :(

So you're telling me that I can't get the same result as the example with O2VR ? I'm pretty sure it is linked with a database or at least to a config file to let the client update the info.

Here are an example of something that could help me to acheive my goal, may be :

http://www.ogeetek.com/colourtool/catal ... ogues.html
http://www.ogeetek.com/colourtool/colou ... rtool.html

We have some hotspot with diferents colors (may be there are layers located above the base image) and the shape come from an external fil (mask with photoshop or 3D soft).

How can this be done with O2VR ?

The images and then overlays are all in the skin editor.
So you will not be able to rotate this.
As said, poly hotspot is the way to go.

Is it possible to have normal hotspots but with different colors? ... say you have one with red color, other yellow, black, white, etc...

different colors so you can see different things in the same panorama...
