Add timer/loading icon to VR skin

Using the cardboard.ggt and modifying the center hotspot navigation template, I'm 90% of where I need to be but would like to have a timer/loading icon come up when you look at one of the hotspots. I looked at the template skins but I can't figure out what I'm missing to get this action to happen.
