HTML5 Cube Face Size for Apple Devices

iPad 3 & 4
Set 1440px for the cube face size in the HTML5 settings tab. Because of its much higher screen resolution you can not set the Max Screen Size for this device in the mobile tab.

iPad 1st and 2nd Generation
The iPad has a screen resolution of 1024 x 768.
A good starting point for the iPad is 960px, however, the iPad 2 can handle larger sizes, i.e. 1024px. It's important to note, though, that this depends on the skin that will be used; the more complex the skin, the smaller the cube face size will need to be to stop crashes.

iPhone 5 & iPod Touch 5th Generation
Both of these devices have a screen resolution of 1136 x 640.
So far, the best cube face size that seems to be working without causing mobile Safari to crash is 960px. Please note that the logical screen size is 500 x 320 which must be used when making the skins.

iPhone 4 & iPod Touch 4th Generation
Both of these devices have a screen resolution of 960 x 640. The iPhone 4 and 4th generation iPod Touch seem to be capable of 800px cube face sizes without any real problems. However, if using a complex skin with thumbnails and/or slide menus, then 700px or lower may be wise. Please note that the logical screen size is still 480 x 320 which must be used when making the skins.

iPhone 3 & iPod Touch 3rd Generation
Both of these devices have a screen resolution of 480 x 320.
So far, the best cube face size that seems to be working without causing mobile Safari to crash is 416px. If using a complex skin this may need to be reduced to 384px due to the memory requirements/limitations of the devices.

For all the above use Image Compression 70.

When setting up the Mobile output please use the following Max Screen Size:

In the main settings use 1440px.
