multiprocessing computer faster?

Hi everybody,
is the pano2vr software running faster with a multprocessing computer?

I think I have read somewhere here in the forum that Pano2vr uses all available processors on a 64bit and 32bit cpu.
Also PTgui stitching software works with all available processor cores.
How fast is fast? On our older one core 32bit intel processor a build time was about 1 m 45 s. On our new 64bit Intel i7 same process takes only about 15 seconds.
