hi all,

I've wanted a show case tour for my home page using 'next' and 'back' buttons, and spent ages working out how to do it - and integrating with the thumbnails and pano name - what do you think? HTML5 with Flash fall back too:

cheers

Looking good Stu.

EDIT:
If I could make a suggestion regarding the lens flare, the file in the tip has been updated and I would use this one. Also Alpha out the flare, either all the way or so you just see it, the blinding effect on its own may be in this case a better way to go as the flare distracts from the image.
But as always just my opinion. :D

Stu:

Very nicely done! I especially liked the slider for viewing or hiding the controls. I hadn't seen that done before.

Hi Martin,
I've downloaded and implemented the lensflare.swf file (dated 18.03.13) from the tips page http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Flash_Lens_Flare but it still looks the same.......

Hi Ben,

thanks! The controls slider is so I can fit as many thumbnails along the bottom - especially important with Flash / HTML5 output with minimum iPad resolution of 768 px in portrait mode.

Great job Stu!

IMO you have made the the best use of Pano2VR for property tours that I have seen so far on any platform, and I have seen many! Very intuitive and easy to navigate. I really like how you incorporate stills, floor plans, maps, etc without the tour canvas looking too "busy". Everything from navigation to the hotspots to image titles are very well thought out.

I have been trying to put together something similar off and on for almost 2 years now. I keep going back to a cloud based service thats not really what I want to use but its "easy". Seeing your outstanding work has inspired me to take another crack at building my own tours with Pano2VR.

Hi Stu,
When setting the flare, you have the option in the title to set Alpha and Blinding Effect, set the Alpha much lower.
Example 0.2/0.4

So Alpha will be 0.2 and the Blinding Effect will be at 0.4.

Hopki:

Thanks for the tip! I looked over "controller_slide.ggsk" and I see now how the "toggle element position" action can be used to get this behavior. A very useful technique to know about.

Thanks again,
Ben
