You can do this yourself.... You can modify the skin to your needs, in fact you can add all the controls from the normal controller, including fullscreen, to the video controller. Of course you can do it also the other way around and add the video buttons to the normal controller... :)

tou know after years in quicktime I seem to have some big mental blocks learning flash..

last night I tried doing a quick video blog in linear video

http://www.vrhotwires.com/Bill_Meikle/M ... chive.html

(blog 89)

and the controller didn't show up.

I made the first video in qt.
I encoded it to a .flv with the flash video encoder.
I opened that .flv in flash and chose a controller.
I chose 'publish'...
I got the html file, the .js file and 2 .swf files
but it shows no controller when I run it.

so I went back to a test I did that worked and I still find no mention in the html
of the controller SkinUnderAllNoFullscreen.swf. How does it know to open that file?

I can see ftest.swf in the html, maybe it is supposed to open the controller?

thought this was exactly how I did the one that worked...

I tell you it's getting harder to be a newbie the older I get...

Not really Pano2VR related, but it tries to open the file from the same directory as the html file is and the filename is hard coded in the SWF file.

What I was talking about was more a combined skin for the controller_new and controller_video. I have uploaded the images now at http://gardengnomesoftware.com/forum/vi ... f=13&t=885 to make this easier. The resulting skin looks like:
controller_pano_video.jpg
controller_pano_video.jpg (24.9 KiB) Viewed 12137 times
and the skin file is here:
controller_pano_video.ggsk
updated version
(114.78 KiB) Downloaded 489 times

hmm I thought I knew what I was doing on these panos

it's not the html url that makes this work?

I bought the app last night so I tried to put up a better xmas shot
http://www.vrh2.com/videowarp/pano2vr/VideoTest.html

this doesn't work.. the oano loads but the video not.

hmm if the placeholder pano calls the video how come the snowball fight worked?
http://www.vrh2.com/videowarp/p2v2/VideoTest2.html

all I did was change the html...

I have a little issue with the new combined pano-video controller.
I applied the combined control on my Gornergrat timelapse (see the link in this topic)
The pano control works well but the video buttons are not responding so the play can't be stopped and is looping.
As soon as the rotation of the pano is stopped with the pano controller the looping stops at the first pano of the the video,
So the rotation button has also control over the play of the video and I think this is not OK.
Just little issues........

Best,

Wim

EDIT:
The pano-video controller in the host pano is the original (=not modified) one as provided in the download.

Yes as you can see here Wim is right.

http://www.vrh2.com/videowarp/flashsphe ... Test3.html

The looping is interesting because it didn't work locally. I was trying to figure out how to turn it on. Now it seems to be the default.

The video controls are probably not working because of a cut and paste error in the xml. I could look at that but not for a while...

Upss, I accidently uploaded an older version where I didn't assigned the actions. I exchanged the file, and now it should work.

Did you use Pano2VR beta4b? If not, older versions had a strange bug on the Mac where the video update to the screen stopped some time for no obvious reason and it looked like the video stopped while it was still running in the background. This should be fixed with beta4b.

No, I was running v 4a, will try out the new beta and controller later on.
Thanks for your support.

Best,
Wim.

EDIT:
v 4b is running better and more responsive to the combined pano & video controller.
The controller is now functioning OK.
I found 1 minor issue, in Full Screen mode the keyboard keys for zoom in and out are not functioning.
Besides this issue the timelapse I is running smoother then ever before and the buttons are responsive without long delays.
Can it be that the number of control buttons has something to do with this ? I have now only 3 buttons for the basic functions.
Great job Thomas.

hmm this is still a good test (if the room was way to dark to shoot in)

http://www.vrh2.com/videowarp/flashsphe ... Test3.html

this was rebuilt with betab and the new controller,I think.

I'm not sure because the controller still doesn't work.

Also the frame rate is just weird. It runs for the first 30 seconds or so in a very jerky mode, like 2 seconds of fast
and then stop over and over again. Then it settles, perhaps because of certain button presses into a smoother frame rate. ??

The looping is still infinite, which is what I wanted but what if I wanted to turn that off?

dunno. Not perfect, but pretty neat nonetheless...

The controller in your movie is working for me (pano+video) although I encountered a behavior different then in my own timelapse controller.
When I move the mouse over a button (no clicking and regardless which button) then the auto rotation stops, and when leaving the controller the rotation starts again.

Just little issues....

weird I just checked it again and it played quite differently.

The stop button never worked before and now it worked perfectly, same with the pause. Plus the frame rate was steady and
a little too fast if anything...

go figure.

When I open an online Flash movie pano that I have openend before it always is showing in a "Flash", so no download time.
That prooves that is is loaded from a local cache.
Perhaps what you are experiencing is an persistant cache file that was created with beta4a and now is replaced by the new movie file.
I am not familiar with Flash cashes but in QuickTime (OSX) I sometimes have to manually clear the browser and/or user caches to force a newer version of the pano to load.

Hello,
I'm testing beta 4b release. Everything works well for me in Flash skin/controller except the fullsceen (in IE7 and Firefox, and on different computers). When clicking on the button Toggle Full Screen (controller_new_radar.ggsk), nothing happens.
Thanks for your answer.
