Industrial Decay vs Art Gallery

Hi guys and girls!
I wanted to share with you some of my recent projects.
1. Industrial decay scenery: Kremikovci Joint Stock Company, Bulgaria
It is/was the biggest metalurgical plant on the Balkans. I had the lucky chance to be able to do 8 panoramas just before it was finally sold and probably cut for scrap.

2. Virtual Art Gallery: M I N I M A L I S M, online gallery NAVA exhibited in a place called SKLADA (warehouse), Sofia, BG

http://art.trepa.ch/nava/

For the first, I used Arthuro's skin elements, and tried to make a virtual tour with maps and compass so the person can see exactly where he is.
For the second, I used dynamic loading of external photos. Tried preloading them on the HTML code but I think it does nothing...Anyway, hope you like them, though very opposite in nature.

All panoramas are shot in HDR - around 7 shots for each photo of the set.

Also, I started a new site, made especially for viewing interactive content. There I will be putting future panoramas.

http://panomagic.eu/

...and last but not least I want to thank everyone for this forum, because I have learnt a lot from it!

Any comment or constructive criticism is welcome :!:

Best regards, G

Hi. Nice panoramas :)
Can you say few words about your HDR workflow? What software d you use, what settings, hou moch time does it takes you and so on...

I found sevral mistakes in a tours.
1. In http://kremikovci.geopalstudio.com/
if i close the map of loc1 or loc2 BEFORE pano is loaded, pane will not be opened. But perhaps, it was an origin idea :)

2. In http://art.trepa.ch/nava/
I cant use hotspots to open new pano if I centered on it. Previvew pic appears and desapears (blanking) and cant be pressed

@Mdholl,
Thank you for the input, much appreciated!

For the panoramas, I always shoot them HDR - from 5 to 11 frames per photo of the set, now I can do that 6fps when needed and possible.
I use Sns-HDR to merge them to HDR, it's a bit slow, but gives me better results (preserving highlights) and faster to achieve them than other HDR software, though in rare cases I might use 32-float or Oloneo Photo Engine.
Maybe this takes the most time, converting to 16 bit tiff from RAW, clearing CA, merging to HDR. Then I stitch the panos and for some cases like the 2 projects above, I try to make different skins/effect/navigation.
Kremikovci Plant took me over 1 month to finish, as the navigation is very complex, I had a lot of issues to clean but finally it works more or less the way I have planned it.
While working on these two, I found some limitations in the software as well as some bugs which were reported. It was fun (but not always) to find workarounds.

My comment for the second remark is, that this is probably flash issue, when I hover the mouse over the hotspot and that hotspot appears under the mini pano preview window, some kind of loop happens, but for now I don't think I can do something about this. Usually people click on the hotspot while it is in the middle or side of the screen, not bottom, so this is not a big issue.

Thanks again!
Best, G

@ G
If you move your hotspot template to the bottom of the skin editors file tree, it will be in front of ALL other elements including the popup image, so it wont be an issue.

Hopki,
I did try to move the HS template to the botton, but there is still flicker with the thumb preview...I guess I will just move the preview somewhere else

Hi G
Also which may interest you is my last set or tips regarding radar beams:

http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Rad ... a_Hotspots
http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Rad ... m_Movement

The last tip shows you how to keep the beam hidden until the next panorama is loaded.

Thank you Hopki, really useful! Will see them with greatest pleasure. I wish I saw these before the start. For first of a kind for such a complex project (the industrial one) I think it worked OK. Btw, for the gallery project I put the thumb pano preview as a hover over the cursor and solved the overlapping problem :)
Thank you, G
